We have all felt it. That feeling that you are spinning plates, juggling schedules, fielding requests, demands, deadlines, and you just want it all to stop for a minute so you can take stock. Your head is full, and in all the chaos you are losing sight of your goals and how you want to be living. And that's before you have time to manage your health, fitness, relationships and finances!

Breathe.

Coaching gives you the chance to gain back control. By giving yourself the time and space to step off the merry-go-round for a moment, you can start to find the calm that will help you manage the multitude of factors that make up everyday life. 

Coaching

Coaching is not therapy, or counselling or mentoring. We are not looking backwards, we are looking at where you are now and where you want to be, so this is all about looking forwards and establishing a goal for a positive outcome. I will employ focused listening and incisive questions that enable you to work out what you want and how you are going to get there, and you will find that in identifying your own solutions and strategies you gain back control.

Why it works

Coaching is a forward-focused, positive process that helps you to find clarity of thought and vision. It uses listening, questions and silence to allow thoughts to emerge and crystallize, giving you the chance to realise what you want and how you can get there. I listen without judgement or agenda; I facilitate your journey towards your goal. In a chaotic and fast-moving life, it is hugely beneficial to allow yourself the time and space to stop, and consider what you are aiming for.

How it works

In a series of 5 sessions, the Chaos to Control package gives you a framework to reinsert some order in your life. Sessions are spaced over a number of weeks so that you have time in between to put plans into action and to reflect on what you want to achieve.

Session 1: We will establish what is going on with you now, what is working and what isn't, and what your aim is for the outcome of the sessions. You will leave with some action to take or some thoughts to consider.​

Session 2 looks at what you have been able to put into effect and the impact this is having on your day to day life so far. We can start to look at the next area you would like to address. Again, you'll leave with some points to pursue. 

​

In the third session, we will look at your successes so far and whether there have been any strategies that have not worked yet. There is always room to investigate other angles to help you to achieve your aims.

By session 4, you should be feeling more clear-headed and be able to see the path ahead. There is time in this session for some reflection on why you think your strategies are working, and how you can use these for yourself in the future. We will look at any further areas you would like to improve.

The final session gives you a chance to look at how far you have come, and at all the thought processes you have enabled for yourself on your route to getting here. We can look at any predictable situations on the horizon and how you will manage them so that you can maintain the clarity you have now reached. There is always the opportunity to return for further sessions if needed, but having gone through the process, you will leave your last session with a sense of empowerment and more importantly, a sense of calm and control.
